Fourteen of our most recent Members were showcased at the Hold – the new Suffolk Archive building near the Waterfront. It was excellent to welcome our recent joiners and meet new faces together with longer-standing members of the Society at the colourful opening event. The mix of old and new was also represented in the public who attended. It is good to see the Society reaching new audiences and enjoying the result. We have Hannah Aria to thank for the idea of the exhibition, and for bringing it about, with the assistance of Charles Hustwick, in a short space of time – taking advantage of a time slot which had become available at the Hold. It was also good to see our first collaboration with the Hold, as we build towards the events planned for 2024. The exhibition was visited by the High Sheriff of Suffolk, who bought one of Hannah’s prints.
Exhibiting artists were:
Scarlet Alford, Hannah Aria, Lauren Asquith, Laura Beardsell-Moore, Shaun Burgess, Tom Coomber, Simon Farr, Jon Field, Lily Hammond, Tammany Hunt, Charles Hustwick, Shannon Norton, Jennifer Green and Allan Williams.
We welcome them all to the Society.
Organised by Hannah Aria on behalf of Ipswich Art Society.
